Oscar für Holly Waddington
…and the Oscar for “Best Costume Design” goes to costume designer Holly Waddington for “Poor Things”. For this production, she and her team rentedc a large number of costumes from our historical costume hall. A quote from a recent interview with her on zeit.de: “As a costume designer, I’m actually used to being overlooked. Our work often remains invisible, the actors’ outfits should support the story, not distract from it. That was completely different with Poor Things right from the start, our director Yorgos wanted it to really pop. I’m really proud of the great attention. ” The film also won Oscars in the categories “Best Actress” (Emma Stone), “Best Production Design” and “Best Make-up and Best Hairstyling”.
Another winning film with costumes from our company is “The Zone Of Interest”, which won in the categories “Best International Film” and “Best Sound”.
