Islands
Cinema release for “Islands”, which celebrated its premiere at this year’s Berlinale. Former tennis pro Tom (Sam Riley) works as a tennis coach in a hotel on the island of Fuerteventura and teaches tennis to an endless stream of vacationers in the same old routine. He makes closer contact with one of the families, but there is an uncomfortable tension between the couple Anne and Dave. Suddenly Dave disappears without a trace…
Costume designer Christian Röhrs created the costume design for the thriller.
“Islands” is nominated four times at the German Film Awards: ‘Best Feature Film’, ‘Best Male Lead’, ‘Best Sound Design’ and ‘Best Film Music’. The Lolas will be awarded on 9.5.2025.
