International Filmfestival Cannes 2025

We are delighted that four productions with costumes from our company will be shown at this year’s Cannes International Film Festival.

The new Fatih Akin film “Amrum” is celebrating its premiere at the festival. Costume designer Birgit Missal hired many costumes from this period from us for the production, which tells the story of the last days of the war in 1945 on the North Sea island of Amrum from the perspective of 10-year-old Nanning.

“Sound of Falling” by Mascha Schilinski is running in the festival competition and tells the story of four women from different eras whose lives are eerily interwoven. Costume designer Sabrina Krämer has found costumes from various eras.

Wes Anderson’s latest film “The Phoenician Scheme” will also be presented to an audience for the first time in Cannes. Costume designer Milena Canonero was once again responsible for the costumes, as she was for Anderson’s previous films.

“The Disappearance of Josef Mengele” by Kirill Serebrennikov is also celebrating its premiere. The costume design was created by Tatiana Dolmatovskaya.

The red carpet in Cannes will be rolled out for the 78th time from May 13 to 24, 2025.
