First Steps Awards 2026
At the 2026 FIRST STEPS Awards, outstanding emerging films and filmmakers of the year were once again honoured. From short films and documentaries to screenplays and feature-length films: the evening demonstrated once more just how diverse, bold and creative the next generation of filmmakers is. We offer our warmest congratulations to all the winners and nominees!
Theaterkunst was part of this special evening this year: the presenting duo, Maximilian Mundt and Malaya Stern Takeda, were dressed by costume designer Heike Hütt in selected outfits from our collection. Through our 1907_curated initiative, the Berlin-based label AUTELSTUDIO was part of the styling concept.
Thank you to the FIRST STEPS team for their collaboration, and congratulations to everyone who is shaping the cinema of tomorrow with their films, ideas and passion!
