Chantal im Märchenland

Chanti is bäck! After a seven-year break, Chantal returns to the big screen. As the problem pupil in “Fack ju Göhte”, she made a name for herself in three instalments. Now she is an influencer without followers and finds herself in a fairytale world through an ancient magic mirror. For the historical part of the film, costume designer Esther Walz borrowed a large number of costumes from the historical collection.

Costume designer Esther Walz also worked together with our atelier team to create eight historical renaissance-style dresses. She selected brocade in various colors, which was then transformed into the courtly outfits by our wardrobe mistress and three other custom tailors. In order to accurately reflect the era, the dresses hade to be reinforced with the proper supporting structures. In this case, the team constructed eight Spanish hoop dresses and the corresponding hip cushions. The dresses feature necklines adorned with lace and pearls, elaborate lacing and a peplum that is in keeping with the era. We can’t wait to see them in their full glory on the big screen.
