Treasure
Premiere for “Treasure” by Julia von Heinz in the “Berlinale Special” section. After the fall of the Iron Curtain, music journalist Ruth (Lena Dunham) joins her father Edek (Stephen Fry), a Holocaust survivor, on a tour of his native Poland. Their journey takes them to Warsaw, Łódź, Krakow and the Auschwitz-Birkenau concentration camp. Ruth wants to get to know her own roots and explore her family’s past. Polish costume designers Robert Adamczyk and Małgorzata Karpiuk have selected costumes from the historical and modern sections of the collection.
