Dear friends of Theaterkunst, you are all familiar with our endless amount of costumes. Rack for rack, our Eisenzahnstraße and Forckenbeckstraße locations offer an enormous variety of uniforms and historical costumes. But what if, among 10 million costume pieces, you still can’t find the right one? Then the 2nd floor of Theaterkunst is where you go. That’s where our workshop is, and where the custom tailors of Theaterkunst are busy with scissors and needle, designing, cutting and sewing in close cooperation with costume designers to create the unique pieces that add the finishing touch to any series and film.
For “Bekenntnisse des Hochstaplers Felix Krull“, costume designer Frauke Firl relied on our expertise for the custom tailoring of the film’s women’s and men’s clothing. More on that topic in our interview with her.
In this issue’s media showcase, you’ll find an expert’s take on the topic of “Digitization of Theaterkunst” for Hamburg@work. We were also very pleased to be invited to the “Green Actor’s Lounge” as a speaker on the panel discussion “Fair Fashion in Film”. That’s just our topic!
