Dear friends of Theaterkunst, in recent weeks we have added many new costumes to our collection. Whenever we think that every last corner of Theaterkunst is taken up, our colleagues somehow manage to make room for more – accommodating 2,500 fantastic children’s items from 1920 to the present day, and 350 items from the East German period, for example.
In the section “Theaterkunst Talk”, we interviewed costume designer Bina Daigeler, who talks about her work on the series “1899” and the acclaimed feature film “Tár“. And in “Theaterkunst Privat”, Gudrun Sauerbrey gives us insight into her perfect weekend in the garden.
Over the past few weeks, we’ve been hosting visits to our collection by students of Berlin Universität der Künste, as well as by a delegation from the Folkteatern Gävleborg in Sweden.
