Newsletter May 2022

Dear friends of Theaterkunst, we welcome you on a short journey across Europe. After setting out in Berlin and gaining some insight into the promotion of young talent, it’s off to high alpine pastures, before returning to the valley in beautiful Carinthia. That’s where the costume designer Max Wohlkönig currently lives. In our interview with him he tells us why he decided to move to a mountain pasture with three backpacks, and why, after coming back down from the mountain, he will soon be spending a lot of time at the cinema.

Next, we leave the Alps to journey to the far north. In “Theaterkunst Privat”, we visit Iceland and Finland, where our two wonderful interns live and study when they’re not applying their knowledge and creativity in our workshop and in uniform collection.

“Bæ” Scandinavia and “Helló” Budapest! In Hungary we met business partners and attended the “László Kovács and Vilmos Zsigmond Cinematography Award” ceremony. From the Danube, we then move on to the French Riviera: “Salut!” Cannes. We delved into the world of film and, together with “International Film Partners”, we hosted the annual Filmmakers Production Breakfast. Trés bien, trés bien.
