Dear friends of Theaterkunst, we can almost smell the popcorn, hear the rustling of the curtains as they open to reveal the screen. It’s time to go back to the movies! In a few days cinemas across Germany will open their doors. And we’re excited to see that among the new releases there are once again films that we provided the costumes for.
CATWEAZLE, for example, which will be released in theaters on July 1st, is a remake of the English original featuring Otto Walkes as the time travelling magician Catweazle. We talked to costume designer Christine Zahn about the project and the particularities of costume design.
A brand new feature in this newsletter is the “Faces of Theaterkunst”. Many of you know our accomplished staff. In the section THEATERKUNST PRIVAT, we pose four questions to one team member each month and look forward to four interesting answers.
