Newsletter July/August 2022

Dear friends of Theaterkunst, summer is in full effect, and hopefully you’ve been able to make the most of it! By now nearly all of us have returned, well-rested, from our holidays. While we were away, we spent time in mountains and valleys, in cities and villages, in the woods and at lakes, as well as at the sea, both on and under water. We travelled abroad and within Germany, far afield and close to home. No matter where we were, we come home re-energized and relaxed through the good times, good memories and new sources of inspiration we experienced. Now we’re ready for whatever the rest of 2022 may bring.

This newsletter will once more touch upon the aspect of young talent. It’s also worth mentioning that some of our historical costumes from the 1920s have been showcased in a lecture by the costume historian Bettina Köhler at the Amerika-Gedenkbibliothek.

In addition to covering all these nice things, we must also take the opportunity to say farewell. After so many years of fruitful cooperation, it’s time to say goodbye to Costume Director Nikola Fölster. Even after 30 years of working together, we still have a few questions for her.
