Dear friends of Theaterkunst, we trust that you’ve had a good start to 2024 and wish you a fantastic year ahead!
At the end of 2023 we made preparations for taking over some 20,000 costumes from the SWR collection: On location in Baden-Baden, our team made the selections, packed up the contents and finally sent three truck-loads on their way to Berlin. In a new hall at Berlin-Südkreuz, all the new additions are now sorted in familiar fashion and are available for you to peruse. Feel free to get in touch to see for yourself.
The awards season has kicked off, with the first awards in costume design already announced. Costume designer Holly Waddington received the Astra Film Award for “Best Costume Design” for the film “Poor Things”. She is also nominated for the Costume Designers Guild Award, as is the costume designer Trish Summerville, for the film “The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds & Snakes”.
