Marzahn Mon Amour
Start of the six-part series ‘Marzahn Mon Amour’, which will be broadcast in the ARD media centre from today. Based on Katja Oskamp’s autobiographical novel of the same name, the series introduces us to Kathi (Jördis Triebel), a writer who doesn’t have enough work and therefore becomes a chiropodist. She finds a job in the beauty parlour around the corner – in Marzahn – and not only encounters shop owner Jenny (Yvonne Yung Hee Bormann) and her moody colleague Lulu (Deborah Kaufmann), but also the very different lives of her Marzahn customers.
We visited costume designer Freya Herrmann and her team on set in Marzahn and took a look behind the scenes of the production.
