Home Stories
On 9 July 2026, “Home Stories” – which was in competition at this year’s Berlinale – will be released in cinemas. This family drama follows the teenage girl Lea. She has entered a talent show and must come to terms with the question of who she really is. At the same time, her family is struggling to make ends meet, and the complex family dynamic has been thrown off balance.
Costume designer Waris Klampfer and her team have created a costume design that is understated, yet features distinctive elements through recurring patterns and the choice of fabrics. In an interview with ZDF at the Berlinale, she said: “In keeping with the film’s title, we tried to find very special pieces for the characters, such as the jewellery worn by Grandmother Christel, which symbolises a more glamorous life.”
Starring, amongst others, Frida Hornemann, Max Riemelt, Rahel Ohm, Gina Henkel and Eva Löbau; Production: Trimafilm, Komplizen Film GmbH, if… Productions; Director: Eva Trobisch; Costume design: Waris Klampfer
