The TV series recounts stories within the Interdisciplinary Investigation Commission (IEK) of the Criminal Investigation Division in Berlin, about medical examiner Dr. Katrin Stoll and detective chief superintendent Mirko Kiefer, who reopen unresolved criminal cases due to new evidence.
