On 7.4.2023 on ARD and one day earlier in the media library: “Und dann steht einer auf und öffnet das Fenster” (And then someone gets up and opens the window) with Iris Berben as the stubborn, taciturn and brittle photographer Karla, who has only a few months to live and no desire for sentimentality. She is assisted by Fred (Godehard Giese), a companion for the dying, who learns more about living than about dying in his first case. Costume designer Maria Schicker has once again relied on the fundus of Theaterkunst for this contemporary project.
