Ungeduld des Herzens
On 5 February 2026, ‘Ungeduld des Herzens’ will be released in cinemas. A bowling night, a misunderstanding – and a moment that changes two lives. Young soldier Isaac asks Edith to play. Only later does he notice the wheelchair at her side. Driven by shame, Isaac seeks out the woman he has hurt. An unusual relationship develops between the two – full of compassion, hope and growing dependence.
Costume designer Annika Osterrieder found numerous suitable items in our uniform hall and contemporary collection to authentically outfit ‘Ungeduld des Herzens’. The free adaptation of Stefan Zeig’s novel won the Max Ophüls Prize in the ‘Best Feature Film’ category in 2025 and was also nominated for the ‘First Steps’ award for young talent.
