The Secret Floor
Cinema release of “Das geheime Stockwerk” (“The Secret Floor”). Twelve-year-old Karli moves with his family to the Alps, where his parents take over an old hotel. While exploring the former grand hotel, he discovers that he can travel through time in an old freight lift – and ends up in 1938! Karli befriends Hannah, a Jewish guest, and Georg, a shoe shine boy. But Karli doesn’t dare tell his new friends what he knows about the year 1938.
Costume designer Uli Simon found everything needed for this children’s film, from shoes to hats, to transport the characters back to the year 1938.
