The Disappearance of Josef Mengele
The powerful production ‘The Disappearance of Josef Mengele’ will be in cinemas from 23 October 2025. It tells the story of how Nazi doctor Josef Mengele (August Diehl) managed to flee Germany shortly after the end of the Second World War with the help of various accomplices. From Buenos Aires to Paraguay, with stops in the Brazilian jungle, the so-called Angel of Death organised his methodical disappearance and escaped any form of prosecution.
Costume designer Tatiana Dolmatovskaya borrowed a variety of historical costumes from the 1940s from us, such as men’s suits, shirts, shoes, dresses and blouses.
