The Brutalist
Cinema release for the ten-time Oscar-nominated film ‘The Brutalist’. The film tells the story of Hungarian-born architect László Tóth (Adrien Brody) and his wife Erzsébet (Felicity Jones), who survived the Holocaust and make a new start in America in the 1950s. A wealthy client gives the architect the opportunity to realise his vision through monumental brutalist architecture with its clear lines and angular forms.
British costume designer Kate Forbes worked with us on this project and used clothing from different eras. For example, the dark blue coat and knitwear from the years 1930 to 1950 come from our collection.
