Nosferatu
For the remake of the silent film classic ‘Nosferatu – A Symphony of Horror’, costume designer Linda Muir borrowed various 19th century costumes at Theaterkunst: Trousers, jackets, waistcoats, top hats, bonnets, blouses, skirts, nightgowns, shoes, aprons and many other costume pieces from our historic hall. As in the original 1922 film, vampire prince Count Orlock brings death and destruction to the fictitious German town of Wisborg. ‘Nosferatu’ has been showing in cinemas since 2 January 2025.
Costume designer Linda Muir has been nominated for the Costume Designers Guild Award in the ‘Excellence in Period Film’ category for this production. The winner will be announced on 6 February 2025.
