Cinema release of the biopic ‘Maria’, in which Angelina Jolie plays the legendary opera singer Maria Callas. For the first time, the story of the soprano is told as she herself saw her turbulent life. She spent the last years of her life in isolation in Paris until her death in 1977. Jolie received a Golden Globes nomination for ‘Best Actress in a Leading Role’.
‘Maria’ is the conclusion of Pablo Larraín’s trilogy about fascinating and famous women of the 20th century, which he began with “Jackie” and “Spencer”.
