Leonora in the Morning Light
Cinema release for ‘Leonora in the Morning Light’. The film sheds light on the life of artist Leonora Carrington, who broke with the social norms of her time in the 1930s and joined the surrealist movement. At the start of the Second World War, she flees to Mexico, where she finds her freedom and her own voice as an artist.
Costume designers Ulrika Böhm and Gudrun Leyendecker have found a large number of costumes from the 1930s and 1940s for leading and supporting roles.
