Frankenstein
From 23 October 2025, Guillermo del Toro’s film adaptation of ‘Frankenstein’ will be shown in selected cinemas before it launches on Netflix on 7 November 2025. The film tells the story of Victor Frankenstein (Oscar Isaac), a brilliant but selfish scientist who creates a creature (Jacob Elordi) through a monstrous experiment, which ultimately spells disaster for both the creator and his tragic creation.
New Zealand costume designer Kate Hawley collaborated with our costume department on these productions and found what she was looking for, particularly in the historical costume hall.
