Theaterkunst acquires costumes from ‘The Empress’
We have acquired the original costumes from the Netflix series ‘The Empress’! 👑
The magnificent costumes from seasons 1 and 2 are now available for hire in our historical costume hall. Dresses, skirts, blouses, shoes, hats, masks, crinolines, corsages. Even the opulent wedding dress from season 1 is included. The costumes from season 3 will be available for hire from us after the series has been broadcast – expected to be from 2027.
We would particularly like to highlight the fantastic work of costume designer Gabriela Reumer. Her ideas and designs make the costumes an impressive blend of historical accuracy and modern elements.
A huge thank you to Sommerhaus Filmproduktion and Netflix for their trust and fantastic collaboration! Making these extraordinary costumes available in Germany sends a strong signal for Germany as a film location.
