The Widow Killer
The four-part series “The Widow Killer” premieres on ARD on 3 April 2026. Prague, March 1945: The Allied liberators are drawing closer, but the German occupiers still rule the Czech city. Following the murder of a German officer’s widow, the local Chief Inspector Beran hands the sensitive case, which is subject to strict secrecy, over to his assistant Morava.
The Austrian costume designer Amanda Frühwald found the right pieces in our uniform store and also hired 1940s clothing from the women’s and men’s wardrobes, which give the series its authentic look.
