Theaterkunst in the TAZ: Our history as film material
TAZ editor Marina Razumovskaya visited us at Theaterkunst and recorded her impressions in an article. She sums up the fascination of our company in one sentence: ‘The history of the company itself would make great film material.’
It puts a particular spotlight on our 1907_curated initiative, in which we offer designers a platform to showcase their work, while stylists and costume designers are given the access and infrastructure they need to collaborate effectively with these brands.
Razumovskaya writes about Theaterkunst: “The costumes range from loincloths from the Stone Age to ball gowns from the Rococo period to Thierry Mugler costumes from the 1990s. On the windowsill of the tailor’s shop is a row of headdresses for popes and bishops, and an Orthodox patriarch is also included. Stage and costume designers, directors and stylists of all genres often spend days here looking for inspiration.”
