From December 22, 2025, we will finally find out what Miss Sophie, her butler, and “Dinner for One” (1963) are all about. In six episodes, the series “Miss Sophie – Same Procedure as Every Year” on Prime Video offers a new perspective on the events surrounding the turn of the year at a country estate in England. The young, emancipated Miss Sophie must marry and invites five marriage candidates to her castle. Before she can make her choice, one of the gentlemen is murdered. Miss Sophie challenges the bachelors to humorous competitions while secretly trying to find the murderer. Her butler James is always by her side—and a tender, yet seemingly impossible romance develops…
Costume designer Wiebke Kratz found most of what she needed for this production in our 1920s department. Pants and shirts were made in our studio based on historical patterns, giving the series an authentic look.
