Bach – Ein Weihnachtswunder
On 18 December 2024, the film ‘Bach – A Christmas Miracle’ starring Devid Striesow as Johann Sebastian Bach will be shown on ARD. The composer was living in Leipzig in 1734 and was working on his Christmas Oratorio, which would later become world-famous and had to be finished in time for the performance in St Thomas’ Church. Meanwhile, Bach and his wife Magdalena are struggling with various family disputes.
Costume designer Veronika Albert has put together various dresses, waistcoats, trousers, shoes, scarves and hats from this period in our collection for this historical biopic.
